Pooja Festival Special Trains 2026 Announced: Vizag-Bengaluru

To manage the surge of passengers during the festive season, South Coast Railway has announced weekly Express Special Trains between Visakhapatnam and SMVT Bengaluru for the upcoming Pooja Festival. The temporary special train service, under train numbers 08583 and 08584, will run throughout October and November 2026 to ensure a hassle-free journey for travelers.

  • Train 08583 Timings: Leaves Visakhapatnam at 19:00 hrs on Tuesdays and reaches SMVT Bengaluru at 12:45 hrs on Wednesdays. Key halts include Vijayawada at 00:40 hrs and Katpadi at 08:30 hrs.
  • Train 08584 Timings: Leaves SMVT Bengaluru at 15:50 hrs on Wednesdays and reaches Visakhapatnam at 13:30 hrs on Thursdays. Key halts include Katpadi at 19:58 hrs and Vijayawada at 04:30 hrs.
  • Coach Composition: The trains feature 2 AC Two-Tier coaches, 4 AC Three-Tier coaches, 7 Sleeper Class coaches, 4 General Second Class coaches, 1 Second Class Coach (Divyangjan Friendly), and 1 Luggage-cum-Brake Van.

Central Railway  has announced the introduction of 16 additional festival special trains  to cater to the heavy passenger demand between LTT Mumbai ,  Varanasi , and Sultanpur  for the upcoming festive season.
