Katni South-Malkhedi Special Train 2026 Announced

West Central Railway  has announced daily operation of Train No. 09015/09016 Katni South–Malkhedi–Katni South  unreserved special train service from 30 September 2026 to 9 October 2026  to support additional passenger movement during the paddy harvesting season. The service has been introduced following the cancellation of the Katni Murwara–Bina MEMU service due to non-interlocking work at Bina station.

Special Train Route and Schedule Details

The special service will operate daily in both directions between Katni South  and Malkhedi  with scheduled halts at key stations along the route.

  • Train No. 09015  departs Katni South at 05:20 hrs  and reaches Malkhedi at 12:00 hrs  via Katni Murwara, Reethi, Salaiya, Bandakpur, Damoh, Pathariya, Ganeshganj, Sagar, Jarua Kheda and Khurai.
  • Train No. 09016  departs Malkhedi at 14:40 hrs  and reaches Katni South at 20:40 hrs  via Khurai, Jarua Kheda, Sagar, Ganeshganj, Pathariya, Damoh, Bandakpur, Salaiya, Reethi and Katni Murwara.
  • The train will have 17 coaches  comprising 5 general, 8 sleeper, 2 third AC and 2 SLR coaches .
  • The service is intended to provide additional travel capacity during the paddy harvesting season and passenger movement associated with it.

Central Railway  has announced the introduction of 16 additional festival special trains  to cater to the heavy passenger demand between LTT Mumbai ,  Varanasi , and Sultanpur  for the upcoming festive season.
