Dussehra & Diwali Special Trains 2026 Announced by SCR

To clear the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming festive season, South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the operation of special trains between various key destinations. These festival special trains will run from October 2, 2026, to November 28, 2026, connecting Charlapalli – Berhampur and CST Mumbai – Chennai Beach. Passengers can plan their journeys for Dussehra and Diwali and book tickets ahead of time.

  • Train No. 07027/07028 Charlapalli – Berhampur – Charlapalli Special (18 Services): These trains will halt at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Sattenapalli, Guntur Jn, Vijayawada Jn, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Elamanchili, Anakapalle, Duvvada, Pendurti, Kottavalasa, Vizianagaram, Chipurupalli, Srikakulam Road, Naupada, Palasa, Sompeta, and Ichchapuram stations in both directions. The coach composition includes 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper, and General Second Class Coaches.
  • Train No. 01015/01016 CST Mumbai – Chennai Beach – CST Mumbai Special (12 Services): These trains will halt at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Kurduwadi, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Krishna, Raichur, Mantralayam Rd, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Yerraguntla, Kadapa, Rajampet, Renigunta, Arakkonam, and Perambur stations in both directions. The coach composition consists of 2AC and 3AC Coaches.

Central Railway  has announced the introduction of 16 additional festival special trains  to cater to the heavy passenger demand between LTT Mumbai ,  Varanasi , and Sultanpur  for the upcoming festive season.
