Central Railway 8 Weekend Special Trains 2026 Announced

Central Railway has announced the introduction of 8 weekend special train services between Mumbai-Madgaon and Mumbai-Nagpur to accommodate passengers during the festive October weekend. These special services, operating under train numbers 01029/01030 and 02141/02142, will run on October 2, 2026 and October 4, 2026. Bookings for these special trains will commence on October 1, 2026.

  • 01029 Weekend Special: Departs LTT at 00:25 hrs and arrives in Madgaon at 15:15 hrs on the same day.
  • 01030 Weekend Special: Departs Madgaon at 16:00 hrs and arrives at LTT at 03:45 hrs the following day.
  • LTT-Madgaon Stops: Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, and Karmali.
  • 02141 SF Special: Departs CSMT at 00:25 hrs and arrives in Nagpur at 15:35 hrs on the same day.
  • 02142 SF Special: Departs Nagpur at 16:50 hrs and arrives at CSMT at 09:20 hrs the next morning.
  • CSMT-Nagpur Stops: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri (for 02142 only), Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha.
  • Coach Composition: Each train will have 4 AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, 5 General Second Class, and 2 Second Seating cum Guard's brake van coaches.
  • Reservations & Ticketing: Bookings for special trains 01029, 02141, and 02142 open on 01.10.2026 at PRS counters and on the IRCTC website. Unreserved tickets can be booked using UTS or the RailOne app.

Central Railway  has announced the introduction of 16 additional festival special trains  to cater to the heavy passenger demand between LTT Mumbai ,  Varanasi , and Sultanpur  for the upcoming festive season.
