SWR Train Cancellations and Diversions 2026: Full List

The South Western Railway has announced major changes to train services for September and October 2026. These temporary measures are necessitated by infrastructure upgrades, specifically the Tolahunse Yard work on the Tumakuru–Davangere new BG Line. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys according to the revised schedules and diverted routes.

Route Halts, Timings, or Alternate Arrangements

In addition to cancellations, several prestigious trains, including Vande Bharat services, have been diverted, rescheduled, or regulated.

  • Train Route Diversions:
    • Train No. 19667 Udaipur City–Mysuru Humsafar Express (21.09.2026 & 05.10.2026) is diverted via SSS Hubballi–Ballari–Guntakal–Dharmavaram–KSR Bengaluru, skipping Davangere.
    • Train No. 22497 Shri Ganganagar–Tiruchchirappalli Weekly Superfast Express (21.09.2026 & 05.10.2026) is diverted via SSS Hubballi–Ballari–Guntakal–Dharmavaram–Krishnarajapuram, skipping multiple halts.
    • Train No. 17310 Vasco Da Gama–Yesvantpur Daily Express on selected dates will run via SSS Hubballi–Ballari–Rayadurg–Chikjajur.
  • Rescheduling Details:
    • Train No. 12777 SSS Hubballi–Thiruvananthapuram North Weekly Superfast Express on 23.09.2026 & 07.10.2026 will be delayed by 120 minutes from SSS Hubballi.
    • Train No. 17310 Vasco Da Gama–Yesvantpur Daily Express on 20.09.2026 & 28.09.2026 is rescheduled by 90 minutes from Vasco Da Gama.
  • Vande Bharat & Other Key Train Regulations:
    • Train No. 26751 Belagavi–KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will be regulated en route by up to 120 minutes on selected dates between September 24 and October 10, 2026.
    • Train No. 20661 KSR Bengaluru–Dharwad Vande Bharat Express will experience delays of up to 90 minutes on 09.10.2026 & 10.10.2026.
  • Temporary Elimination of Tolahunse Stoppage:
    • Daily express trains like 16213/16214 and 17347/17348 will temporarily skip stops at Tolahunse during the yard work period.

Central Railway Announces 50 Special Train Services for Diwali 2026

Central Railway  has announced the introduction of 16 additional festival special trains  to cater to the heavy passenger demand between LTT Mumbai ,  Varanasi , and Sultanpur  for the upcoming festive season.
