Diwali Special Trains 2026 Announced by South Central Railway

To clear the extra rush of passengers during the holiday season, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the operation of 38 festival special trains. These services will connect key destinations including Charlapalli (Hyderabad),  Sengottai,  and Prayagraj between September 28, 2026, and December 1, 2026, providing much-needed relief to travelers during the peak festive rush.

  • Train No. 07191 / 07192 Charlapalli – Sengottai – Charlapalli Special:  These services comprise 2AC,  3AC,  Sleeper Class,  and General Second Class  coaches. Stoppages include key stations like Nalgonda,  Miryalaguda,  Guntur,  Tenali,  Bapatla,  Chirala,  Ongole,  Nellore,  Renigunta,  Katpadi,  Jolarpettai,  Salem,  Erode,  Tiruppur,  Podanur,  Pollachi,  Udumalaippettai,  Palani,  Oodanchatram,  Dindigul,  Madurai,  Virudunagar,  Sivakasi,  Srivilliputtur,  Rajapalayam,  Sankarankovil,  Kadaynallur,  and Tenkasi in both directions.
  • Train No. 04121 / 04122 Prayagraj – Charlapalli – Prayagraj Special:  These trains will consist of Sleeper Class  and General Second Class  coaches. Crucial halts are scheduled at Manikpur,  Satna,  Jabalpur,  Itarsi,  Betul,  Pandhurna,  Nagpur,  Sewagram,  Chandrapur,  Balharshah,  Sirpur Kaghaznagar,  Mancherial,  and Kazipet in both directions.

Central Railway  has announced the introduction of 16 additional festival special trains  to cater to the heavy passenger demand between LTT Mumbai ,  Varanasi , and Sultanpur  for the upcoming festive season.
