Silambu Express extended to Shencottah (Senkottai)


Southern Railway General Manager Rakesh Mishra said today that the Silambu Express (Bi-Weekly) operated between Chennai Egmore and Manamadurai will be extended to Shencottah(Senkottai).

 The route will be via Aruppukottai, Virudhunagar. The date, timings and other details will be announced officially later.

Central Railway Announces 50 Special Train Services for Diwali 2026

Central Railway  has announced the introduction of 16 additional festival special trains  to cater to the heavy passenger demand between LTT Mumbai ,  Varanasi , and Sultanpur  for the upcoming festive season. Additionally, the railways have extended 34 services  of existing special trains running between Sainagar Shirdi-Bikaner  and Solapur-Ajmer .
